Hello, I'm Brad's wife , Michaela. You all will have to excuse me due to the fact that I am "Saltwater Stupid". With that said, I have a question. My clown fish disappeared from my Nano tank. We took everything out and looked all in the back for it too, but it's really gone! I looked all over the floor too, but there's no way out of the tank. Is there any way that the purple condi anenome could have eaten my fish? I feed it shrimp all the time the same size, but I didn't think it could mistake my fish for a shrimp.
thanks- Michaela

theres a possibility of the anemone eating the clown..although remote..its possible..check your pump intakes..

I checked everything thing. I noticed the anemone withered up about the same time period and now its back to its normal size.

Is your tank near a sink, or toilet? he might of tried to make it back home...sorry had to do it. :lol

Really though I hope it turns up but from what you said it sounds like the anemone got it...maybe the clown passed first. :(

If it is a condy, it is known for eating ANY fish.

Do you have live rock? It may be hiding in a hole in the live rock.....

Very funny, should have know that was coming. I think my wife is going to get rid of the anemone now.

When clowns get stressed they tend to loose some of the protective slim coating and it is possible for the anemone to have eaten it. I would also be certain the tank environment is in top condition before placing another specimen in there.
