Hello MAAST reefers, I just joined up yesterday to find more addicting threads to read :) I live in Pearland, TX and you can see my tank in my signature.

I also have a question. I have 3 beautiful worm hitchhikers on my live rock, that some have identified as bisma worms. Can anyone make a more accurate ID?

I have been reading on the web and so far am finding it difficult to find care tips on these guys. I looked on reefcentral, webwebmedia, reefs.org, etc.

What kind of flow should they be in and what should I feed them? I know they are filter feeders, so I started with DTs, but could I give them ground up flake food or baby brine shrimp?

Very Nice! Welcome to MAAST! Have you checked out the MARSH group in Houston?

I think that DT's would be the way to go. Those sort of filter feeders are usually interested in food the size of phytoplankton.

Yep, I joined MARSH last year, thanks for the suggestion :) I'll keep feeding them DTs and try to find info on what kind of flow they like...

Those look like cocco worms. Where did you get that kind of rock? Looks like it has lots of life on it, not like what we see around here. Those feather type worms feed on micro plankton, so DT's and similar is perfect. They'll like it when you run your magnets over the glass too or any fish go diggin things up a little. Nice find on those worms! They're expensive to buy when they are not hitchhikers.

I got my LR from floridaliverock.com, other than a huge sponge dying off, I would highly recommend them. Dale was a great guy and called me after my order arrived to make sure I was happy with it :) Just have to be patient removing the mantis :)

EDIT: Thanks for the warm welcom everyone :)

Is that better than crabs?

My favorite t-shirt all time is: I got my crabs at Bob Chinn's :D (semi-famous seafood restaurant in Chicago)
