I don't know this model but I know a few folks that have this units big brother and they are hellacious skimmers. The only thing I didn't like was that it uses a Rio 2100 pump. I wonder if the OceanRunner is the feed pump and the Rio is the re-circulation pump or vice versa.

I have the Turbofloater 5000 and I am VERY pleased with it. Looks like a similar design, but not exact. They also make a T5000 shorty (24"), but it is $400+.

Hopefully somebody has the T1000 and can comment?

HOB hang on the back ... I looked and I may be wrong but the deals that stick out make it look like a hob.

Gary, I think the Ocean Runner pump is the one with the needle wheel on it. The feed pump would be tiny, like a Rio 800 or something I think.

They mentioned the Rio 2100 in the link. I wonder if the Ocean Runner is an upgrade or something. They may not have edited that page before posting it.
I seem to recall that both Mikey and Steve had Oceanrunners hooked up to their recirculation loops on their 5000's. As I recall, the 5000 didn't come with a feed pump. I know Mikey has a small PanWorld driving his.

Gary is correct, my T5000 has an OceanRuner 3500 w/needle wheele as the recirculation pump (MikeBoy's has two of these :o ). I feed water to the T5000 with a seperate MAG12.

Alright guys, got it in today, looks bad *****..although i had to buy some stuff to get it going..it needs to have a tank ovrflow conected..so i bought some half an inch PVC, some hose, a valve and PVC cement to finish the installation..the overflow (which is gravity fed) goes connected to a tube in the skimmer, then the oceanrunner gets going and creates a bunch of bubbles..had a hard time understanding it , but thanks to Louis (Louis) who works at aquatic warehouse i got it running..hopefully by tomorrow morning i will see a bunch of green crap in the collection cup..im having a hard time adjusting it, so i left the air throttles open to see what happens..anyways, will keep yall posted
