Ok, i'm still pretty new at this hobbie, my 46G bow has been set up for almost a year now, and i've had pretty good success so far, I really want to integrate a fuge into my system. I know the best way is to have a drilled tank with built in overflows, but that is not an option for this tank. I'm wondering what my options are to do this, I've been considering the hangon overflows from CPR and possibly just getting a 20G glass tank and putting in my own baffles, i'm not sure what kind of return pump to use or how exactly to make sure the pump flow matches the overflow siphon, I really dont want to deal with a tank spill. I know that i dont want an external return pump, dont want to deal with all the plumbing and leaks.
Anyways any suggestions would be helpful.

Contact Dan. He makes HO overflows, sumps, fuges, sumps with fuges, you name it.

overflows are designed to handle a certain max flow, as long as you don't exceed this rate the return and overflow should naturally balance, as the overflow can only siphon at the rate that water is being returned. does that make sense?

In your opinion, do you think that the smalles CPR overflow would be good for my size tank? And what would be your suggestion for a submersible return pump...make/model?

I'd say the CPR overflow would be fine (CS90), use an Ehiem 1048 or a Mag 2 or 3. AquaTek also had a used 30Gal Sump for $30 the other day. I'd go to one of the local stores (AquaTek) and ask for help. The online guys can't help you when there are issues. Plus its a pain to take stuff back online :-D
