Here is a good link to make your own doser...I think that I will try this one. But alot bigger!

Just a word of warning...

I'd be a little worried about making one of those too large.... with a small one a failure is an issue, but likely it wouldnt whipe out your tank. Large kalk dripper setups without something more reliable controlling them like a peristaltic pump (setup against gravity so a failure just means no kalk, not all dumped at once) could whipe an entire system in the even of failure... ask Minh, he lost a good chunk of the livestock in his tank because of an inexpensive float valve failure on his gravity fed kalk dosing setup..

However, on smaller systems these work fine IMO. I ran this setup on a 20 for a year and had great results.

I would use a glass jar, a 2 holed stopper, and pyrex pipe, and tygon tubing. I'd also try putting the valve on the air intake rather than on the kalk out. This way, you could simply cut off the air, preventing the kalk from dripping out. I'm not sure if you could control the air enough to have it drip instead of run, but if so, it would have the advantage of never clogging, which always happens when you try to drip kalk through a valve. The only ones that don;t seem to clog are the external pinching type controllers like are on the kent aqua doser or any I.V. bag.
