I was at HEB today and picked up some live clams from the seafood counter. When I got home I popped one open rinsed it off and stuck it in the tank. All my hermits and nassarius went nuts over it, but my clown couldnt care less. She didnt even go to investigate. Do clowns not normally eat this or is mine the wierd one. Also how long should I leave it in for? My hermits and snails have been munching on it all evening.
Thanks,
Mike

Ditto on the live black mussels. I only used the live littleneck clams for my triggers. If you popped him open and dropped him in the tank, I would not leave him in for more than 24 hours.
I scrape the shells of the black mussels and chop it up into bite size pieces and mix with frozen brine - they love it!!!!

I'll try chopping up the next one. Hope the clown decides to eat it then. The clams are cheap, but still to expensive to be nothing more then a hermit and snail snack.
Thanks,
Mike

I've never heard of that either. I guess I'd better get the clams out of the tank...

My clowns don't mess with my clams (4), but they seem to love it! Then again, I have some weird fish. My naso will not eat any flakes or pellets, only meat.
