Okay MAAST Club,

I know that there has been some interest on getting some Oceanic Sea Salt. Alex has a Group Order buy thread going but I thought we could move it over here.

If you folks that need some are serious about and it will no get so confused. Start posting over here how many 200-gallon buckets of Oceanic Salt you want.

I know that I need 2- 200-gallon myself.

Alex you are more than welcome to take over this thread but I thought I make it easy and call a Local Fish Store and ask the to help us out.

I called Carlos at River City Aquatics and he is willing to helps us in our Oceanic Sea Salt Group Buy Order.

We can get the Oceanic Sea Salt 200-gallons if we buy 20 buckets or more, as group buy for $36.94 plus tax.

It work this way you would have to pre-paid for the salt that you need either at the Store in person or by phone using a credit card.

The Credit Card part will be good for our members out of town, if they would like to get in this Austin Group buy deal for the Oceanic Sea Salt.

If you are in the need for some Oceanic Sea salt or are think about switching, this is a great opportunity to get some at reasonable price.

Otherwise we just have to go back and pay $50.00 to $65.00, when we need Oceanic Sea Salt 200-gallon bucket again.

Now when he does this group order since he will purchase 25 buckets they will cut him a reduced rate for buying in bulk. That is how he can offer this price. Beleive me Carlos is not making anything off this order so it would be great if we all picked up some other item while at his store. River City is carrying more corals and livestock so I am sure you can find something. He also has frags from 360 RF that you can purchase for a great price.

Also check on the Credit Card deal to be sure. CC's charge the store to take the cards, so it would be good to add an extra dollar if your doing a card.

I called Carlos at River City Aquatics and asked him about that. He said not to worry about the CC's charges. He is going to stick with the price he quoted us for the group buy.

Oh it wasnt a big deal. I wasnt worried about it. I was just my luck is all, kinda like when you buy something and a few days later you see it on sale. $45 still wasnt a bad deal at all. I have been buying the 25g bags @ $12 a piece x 8= $96. I know he didnt do it on purpose and if he had know about the bulk order earlier I konw he would have told me about it.

I wanted to mention something else that is cool about Oceanic salt. The bucket has an actual rubber seal along the top, and snaps on very tightly. That is great for keeping the salt dry, or for using for other things. As we know, reefkeppers always need more buckets. :)

Home Depot doesn't sell buckets this big. Think of it like paying $10 for a good bucket and getting the salt for$25.

If you were looking for that one reason to come to Austin and check out the LFS, this is it.

San Antonio folks just picture this in your minds. You order couple bucktes of salt. Come by and pick it up over here at Austin. :D :D

While you are picking up the salt, you can check out River City Aquatics, then you leave and go to Tim's 360 Reef Farms warehouse, which is about 10 minutes from Carlos' store.

After you leave Tim's store, you will drive, south on burnet road and hit Aquatek, which is about 5 minutes from 360 reef farms.

After Aquatek in the way back home to S.A. You make a quick stop at the AquaDome and your trip to Austin was not just for salt, but to check out the Local Fish Store. You never know what you will find. ;) ;) ;)

Order the salt, come and check out the LFS and other fellow members tanks. :) :) :) :) :) :)
