My friend called me today and said he had something in his tank that was eating all of his snails and small crabs. So I went over and as I walked in the door I saw something run across the front of his tank and hide in the rocks. I sat and watch for a minute and then he came out. So I got online and saw a picture of a home made mantis trap. This will be hard to discribe without pictures but I will try. We got a glass and put saran wrap over the top and held it on with a rubberband. Then we cut a small hole in the bottom of the saran wrap and put a piece of krill in the glass. Then we laid the glass about an inch from the glass of the tank, just enough room to slide a magnet over the hole when the mantis went in. The trap was only in there for about three minutes before the mantis went in and bam we got him. So does anyone one want this little guy before I freeze him?

I cannot tell what kind, but I think that it is a smasher. Pete, if you want him he is yours.
