My tds meter reads 127 from the tap and 032 from my ro/di unit. Do I need to replace the filters or is this acceptable? The unit is less than 1 year old. I need to start making water for a new tank and dont want to start with algae problems.
Thanks

I change my sediment and carbon filters when tds reads 003... Youre way over due! The more often you replace filters, the longer your membrane will last...

My tds reads 10-12 post RO, but I'm starting out at about 325 tds from the tap. I also use DI to get the tds close to 0. I'd think you need to replace the carbon and sediment filters at least.

can you test the water from just the RO? My unit has an RO only valve so I can isolate which filters need to be changed.
my tap is around 320tds...after RO is around 7 to 10...after DI it is 1 to 3 tds
