Found this on a piece of live rock I bought this weekend. Any ideas? It seems to be sessile. When ever I come close to it with something the cone tightens up.

It looks kind of like a limpet, but not too sure. Can you try to sneak a pic of it, while opened?

BTW...I am new here and wanted to give props to the creators! This is an awsome site! :-D

Welcom aboard Spyd3rman. That is a picture of it open. It looks like a pyramid with the top point open, and when you get close the point closes up. It also turns out its not sessile, it moved several inches over night. You think it might be some kind of Urchin?
