My Clowns Spawned!!

My blk/wht percs spawned for the first time! They laid the eggs at the base rock that is attached to a colt which the clowns host. It sits in the front corner so they have it well protected. In the pic, the lens is close to the glass and you can tell the clowns are protecting the eggs from the camera...lol How exciting!

Yeah Pete....that's the same colt I got from you in Pleasanton.. :D The clowns have hosted it for a long time now. From them being so active in it...it keeps the colt from being too big...at night they wedge themselves "inbetween" the branches to sleep...What's great is it is in front on the left side, so I get to enjoy all their activity.

Thanks Andrew...Two years in January...they were young (about 1 1/2")yet already paired when I got them. Female was a bit larger.

yea, maybe you could have babies...gary is right, if you want to raise them larry is the only person that has raised fry on this site that i know of and is successful with them...i've heard that it is hard and everything has to be perfect, but if you want a little extra project and maybe to have babies, then it would be a cool thing to do...

Yeah, I thought about Larry....the eggs are just about gone...would have been an ideal situation due to the fact that they laid them on the base rock of the colt which they've hosted...would have been real easy to take out the colt since it is on a single small rock. Now that I know they're spawning...I'll watch for the next batch - more than likely they'll spawn in the same area hopefully...thanks guys...great idea.

The spawns will get larger and larger. It is almost impossible to move them to another persons house, but maybe Larry will chime in with more insight from Instar.
