my wet dry makes alot of gurgling noises and i've done some searching on why and how to fix it-

has anyone else had this problem? how else do you recommend fixing it?

Is it from the overflow or down in the sump itself?

im having a lot of gurgle in the sump, and also surges........

both drains are underwater, otherwise i dont know what you mean.........

Mine sit about 3-4 inches underwater and this seems to work well.

yeah i cant figure it out.......it has done that as long as i can remember......but being in the closet makes it a little quieter.... :)

it comes from the overflow just like the link i put. it's because the water level is too low or something like that.

My tank was making alot of noise before I put a standpipe in. Took a bit of trial and error, but once I got the hole to the right size it made it much quieter.

also you can try a stockman's standpipe which is a version of the durso, which uses less pvc parts, easier to make( tried it one time and had to do no adjusting whatsoever), and takes up less room-if that is a factor in ur box

if u make this, make sure to put a hole at the top, also u may want to put a piece of cut airtubing to go into the hole.....
