Anemone Purging?

I have seen my anemone purge a few times, and I have seen it poop too, this seems new to me. And of course, like any newb that sees something new I am running aorund with my head cut off.

My anemone typically purges around 9PM to 11PM or so... this is occuring later in the evening, (around midnight, or just before I guess) and instead of a dark excriment coming out, it is transparent whitish, with thicker white streaks in it. Also, the foot does not seem as solidly attatched.

Water params are perfect. the only bad thing going on right now, as the anemone has grown and gotten close enough to a trumpet coral I expect a fight within a couple days, I am moving the trumpet tomorrow.

oh, there are some micro bubbles on the rock, the magnum 350 had to burp earlier. And that green algae, believe it or not, I think is coraline... I have scraped really tough colonies of it off the glass.

Mine does THAT every day.....I read, and asked, and cried, only to find that it is just purging. My clown can't stand it, he will rub all in it trying to get it to open again and then when it is ready it opens and looks beautiful again.

yeah, mine does a purge everyday, that just looked different than every other purge! :) I watched for an hour last night, finally fell asleep, when I woke up this morning, he was nice and puffy again... I just need to develop a thicker skin where this animal is concerned... I knew deep down it was purging, but man, one litte change (from brown to clear poop) and I think it's barfing it's guts up... sheesh!

LOL....I am the same way.....first time mine purged, I was on here asking questions, even after I read that web site about them. LOL

I freak out everytime the things does anything...I am very protective of it!

when mine purges, there is typically no 'gunk' coming out, that was the first time, usually, as you say joshua, it just shrinks...

I have never seen GUNK come out of mine, but it shrinks and shrivels and then blooms again.

Right now I am freaking out....mine moved in the tank, looks like it is purging, won't eat, and the mouth is wide open not all tight and puckery......I dont' know if they will eat or not when they purge but I am freakin man......

My clown keeps putting the bubbles in his mouth and then letting them go, he is not tearing them. Weird
