They work almost as good as maxijets............They only sweep for a couple days before they stop. They may be better suited for freshwater, because the coralline stops them pretty quick.

Yeppers, they suck. They get food, sand, and coraline algae inside the mechanism and stop moving after awhile.

they aren't "bad", they just require lots of maintenance.

Hey, I have had one running in a 20 high tank I have been setting up to 'seed' my fuge when I get the big tank up for almost a month now, I is still going strong. Granted, there is no coraline growing on the tank yet as I haven't got the lighting i want at the moment.
I would say, I bought mine because I was curious, but I think a better brand power head and a SCWD would be a much better choice.

If you clean them regularly, they are fine. Regularly means daily. I think I have one somewhere you can have.

I am running two of the big ones. They stopped after a day and I haven't fixed them because some of the smaller ones I had, like Kopplin said, required CONSTANT cleaning...... Cool idea, but better for either dark tanks or freshwater.

Thanks for your opinion, i was just wondering because they DO look really cool, i would like to try them though, i have 2 maxijets and they run parallel to the water level in the tank so the white film doesnt acumulate in the surface, dont mind if i take your word on in kopplin, i would really like to test them..I would have the time to clean it..thanks yall once more.
