I have simple ole csl 4 x 65 watt power compact, 2 10k, 2 blue
the thing is thou since i put a chiller on this 55, and keep it at 75 degree's, the mushrooms have exploded out.

i have yet to install my mh system, this system is in my bedroom, and just with the chiller, wow it heats up the bedroom, more than usual... :-D ;)

Quick question- I have that purple mushroom that is about 3 1/2" accross, and on this other side behind the tube worm is a 6" stripped HUGE mushroom, any suggestions on what to do with him, let him keep growing...or what is best????

give him to me is the best suggestion i can come up with.. would look just fine in my 150....

keep the mushroom but if you switch over to MH on that tankyou might want to
put it under a ledge or somewhere out of direct light.

Abe,

The mushrooms will probably eventually frag itself by splitting. You can help it along by cutting it. If you are interested in doing that, let me know. I think I know where there is a pretty good write-up of the procedure on the net. Just PM me if you want it.

Robert's right about the MH and mushrooms. My blues bleached out when I moved my rock and exposed them. They eventually moved into crevices and out of direct light and got their color back.

If you run 175 watt 10k+ or 12k to 20k halides your mushrooms will love it in full light! The 10k ushio etc. will likely cause your shrooms to receed some.

nice, but i dont mean to be mean btu i personly IMO dont think a tang should be in a 55 gallon. IMO of course
