BA, not a canopy thing, but something I am going to try on my new stand:
The front will have doors in it like normal stands, but incase I need to be able to really get in there, I am gonig to make the front, and sides 'panels' and attatch them with magnetic door clasps, you know, the ones you push on a door, it clicks, and then releases? The only permenant panels on the tank will be the back, so when all panels are removed just the frame will be left, and the back panel.
I haven't built it yet, but I think it's a pretty good idea and see no reason to hog it.

The removable sides does seem like a really really good idea. I wish I had thought of it before I built my stand. you should see me trying to get to the back of the cabinet. It is a funny site.
