Probably shouldn't have...but I did...Purchased Derek's 2x250 20ks to add to my 2x250 10ks

Thanks man...the tank looks great now. The colors really pop now. Although I'm sure the electric bill will make me slightly upset.

I took one...but the photo really looked bad. I'll try to snap another. I'm redoing the mounting job tonight..as you can see it is quite crooked...boo.

BY THE WAY ANYONE HAVE ANY PERPENDICULAR REFLECTORS? 4 OF THEM?
ALSO...A CANISTER FILTER I COULD BORROW...HAHA...THANK YOU!

Here some after remounting the lights using this thing called a tape measure and pencil. I still cannot seem to get a good photo of the overall tank....I'm using a Sony Cybershot 3.3 MP.

Thanks for the kind words.

I'm kinda wondering which lighting position is better....
The spacing and position on the lights is a little different in the two photos...hmmm.

Looks Sweet, the brace does'nt seem to be blocking much light. They light it well. Did you have dark spot before? The spacing looks better the second time around.

Nope no dark spot. I've always wanted to add some sort of blue lighting, like some VHO. When I came upon this deal, I couldn't pass it up...500 watts of light for 180 dollars!!! VHO's would cost much more than that, and not be nearly as good looking.

I think I might switch the spacing back to the way I had it the first time. The very outside corners of the tank appear more yellow now, which is funny becuase the 10ks never ever looked yellow to me until I saw the 20s. Perhaps I'll even get rid of the 10ks and go with a 13-15k. Any opinions on this?

Well looks like with all 4 lights running, the tank peaks at 97 degrees. HA..just a little too high. I have no fans what so ever...where should i put them? Will fans in the canopy kill some of the heat in the water?

Sorry do be asking a stupid question, but I didn't see anything in the tank warranting more that a couple of PC's, no SPS, softies, clams... or did I miss something here?

Nope you are totally right. Nothing to great in the tank right now. The first reason why I made the switch to halides was the nice, natural ripple. Might seem silly or frivoulous, but it really adds something to the tank. And now I can keep anything I want which is a plus.
