Has anyone tried this type of liverock yet? I found a store in TX that offers it, and it looks great, online. Just curious if anyone has heard or has experience with it.

Thanks

Ray

I got some of it from CB Pets I believe. Not too sure if it is the same stuff, but it came from South America. It is very flat and makes good shelves.

We've had brazilian rock before and it is pretty nice stuff. The only problems I noticed were -

1.) It tends to bleach completely white but then everything grows back pretty quick.
2.) It stung like *%@# the first time I handled it. I mean my hands were numb for a week and a half. So I would recommend wearing gloves.

It stopped stinging by the time I got it. I bought mine from Richard. Nice stuff.

By the way has anyone heard or seen from Cleburne marine? They still owe me almost $400 from and order I place 6 months ago.......?

i haven't heard anything after they told me they'd repay me shipping after my live rock debacle with them about 4 months ago. just fyi, if that picture is from them, don't bet on your rock looking anything like that.

The picture is the same one from their website.

FYI, their website now has a forums area that has a feedback area that you can attempt to air out your problems with them directly. Maybe that will help, maybe it will just get deleted.

i've called them, and emailed them, to no avail. in my case, its not that big of a deal. just frustrating.

I called, E-mailed, hit the web page as well as the forum, also went to a couple other groups........Nothing. I get an e-mail once every couple months saying it will be taken care of this week... It's been 6 months now.... Also you'll note the web page has not been updated since Jan....

Tim - have you checked out their forum on DFWMAS? The mods put a disclaimer on it bc of other people reporting the same thing. You might want to go take a look. Seems like Cody got over his head

Looks like you have to pay to even look at the site? Is that right?

Stephen,

Especially in a hobby like this. Its not like the hobby is that large that word doesn't eventually get around.

In my business you see guys like this all the time. Drives me nuts. They all act about the same. Always busy, hard get a hold of, no return calls. Then they try to re-invent themselves so you might not notice them

wow, I had no idea this guy was such an unique individual. I am so very glad I posted this thread first. Whew, no doubt saved me some grief.

Thanks all
