I was just useing Joes Juice to kill of an aptasia when a little bit of it dropped out of the tip and landed on my zoo. Is my zoo going to die now too? It was a small amount and now the half that the juice landed on is curled shut. Am I gonna lose it or will it be ok?

Thanks,
Mike

So far it's only killed my Aiptasia. I've gotten it on other things and they have been ok. I'd go to there site and read up to make sure.

Aptasia & mojano Anemones, be careful Misti posted that she used it & kill her cleaner shrimps. It does say to kill Aptasia & mojanos....As far as anything else I have only heard.

Well I didnt really see anything on the site about it, but it did say if you dont get it in it into the aptasias mouth you would have to feed it again. I guess I will just hold my breath and see if it opens back up tomorrow. Its not fully closed, but the outside edges are curled in.

Thanks,
Mike

I'm pretty sure it kills aiptasias by burning them with it's high ph. (like kalk paste) So zoos, or anything for that matter, would be vulnerable to contact with it. Maybe you didn't get enough in it to kill the zoo.

I believe that it does kill with high ph. I think the difference between it and kalk paste is that they add something that the aptasia likes to ingest. Kinda like Amdro for ants, taste good but poisonous.(sp?) It is the food factor that makes Joe's Juice work better.

I've had good luck this last week using lemon juice and injecting them with it through a syringe. So far so good without any problems. By the way, I just used the stuff from the bottle "Realemon" I think is how it's spelled.

Well it doesnt look like the zoo is going to die. A small edge where the joes juice landed is shriveled up, but the rest of it has opened up. How long would something like this normally take to repair itself?

Thanks
