I'm thinking of going bare bottom and will be buying a 96 X 54 sheet of 3/8' ths inch thick starboard to put between the rock and the glass and wanted to see if anybody wanted to split the board since I only need a 95 X 23 piece.

The board is $113 + $45 or so in shipping.

In case you don't know what I'm talking about here's a good link.

That would be great Josh.

I asked the manufacturer to send me a color sample since the SeaFoam color seems to have more of a sand look. I'll let you know when it get's here.

Dan, here's some info on the product.

I'm going to be using a single piece but I've heard people using sylicone to seal two pieces.

for those of you in austin, you can pick up starboard at marine west on 183 and burnet, or order it from the owner of the store.

z28pwr thanks for the info. pretty cool stuff. do you think it will last that long in a tank? the only thing is, if you have some of this in your tank it's not a bb any more. do you silicone it in so that water dos'nt get under it?

Dan, A few people on ReefCentral have had this in their tanks for a little over a year with no problems so we will see. I'm not sure if I want to sylicone it to the tank, I'm still debating that.
