Chemi-Clean

I recently used Chemi-Clean to remove a rather pesky cyano outbreak and it didnt completly remove the red stuff. 5 days later the cyano is back but I dont want to retreat unless I know it wont do any harm. The instructions say "to keep aquarium clear, use once a month" and "change 20% of the water 24 hours after treatment".

Can someone tell me if it is safe to use this product again, 5 days after the first dose and water change? I am afraid I am goning to do damage if I use it again so soon. Also I have looked online and found no other instructions about redosing after the first dose failed.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions they would be apreciated.

I've used it in my tank 3 times a couple of months apart. The first time it worked like a charm. The second time it did not do such a good job, and one of my fish died. The third time it did nothing and another fish died. I'm not sure if the fish isdieing as a direct result of the chemi-clean, or if it is a result of the cyano reacting to it . Anyway, the guy at the LFS told me that the cyano can develop some tolerance to it if you keep using it. I guess that is what happened.

I seem to have a resistant kind. Sure is ugly. Eleyan, thats good to know.
Any body have any other suggestions?

I used Chemi Clean a few times with no problems, but the cyano always came back. The last time I tried I used Red Slime Remover and added a filter to my RO/DI unit and I have not seen it since. It will continue to come back until you find the cause.

I had a fairly mild case of cyano. Adding some additional pumps for better circulation pretty much solved my problem.
