so i've plumbed up my closed-loop sqwd powered by a magdrive 7 pump, and the pump is leaking. the pump is new, just opened the box, and it looks like it is leaking from one of the edges, along a seam. is there anything i can do to stop this leaking? anyone been here before? thanks guys.

I'd contact the manufacturer and see about a replacement.
I wouldnt fuss around with fixing a pump if I didnt have to.

Call who ever you got it from. Let them replace it. Let them deal with Mag on there side. Sucks though. Maybe you could Submerge it. I read somewhere mags dont do well externally. Mine is external but have not seen any probs. At least not at this time Mag 24 though. Just my thoughts.

The bigger mags do better external. If it's leaking around the o-ring, you can try removing the four bronze screws, re seating the o-ring, tighten carefully, see what happens.

it didn't seem to be leaking around the o-ring, but i went ahead and took off the cover, and reseated it all, and tightened it up. no leak. then i put it in place, and the cover cracked when i was moving the closed loop into position. just getting impatient, and got clumsy. gotta call them tomorrow to get another i suppose. thanks for the help guys.

Put a tiny bit of vasaline on the O ring when you get the new cover. Teflon tape the fittings and don't over tighten. They don't need to be super tight to seal.
