Checking interest in a lighting order from Hellolights?

I need some stuff, and maybe if we get a large enough order, we can talk one of the guys on here into doing an order for us at wholesale... :skeezy:

I am looking for a 36" Coralife 192W w/ Moonlight... the best price I've seen it is on Superfishstore.com... and there in Austin (no shipping charges and good hours too)

Yeah... but doesn't hellolights charge sales tax as well... even on wholesale? Unless they are a non-profit entity, they are required to by federal law.

When will we be able to get pricing on items?

Hellolights only charges shipping no sales tax. Sales tax is not a federal tax but a state tax, only required to be charged if sold within the states boundries. Hellolights doesn't exist (physically) in Texas so no sales tax. You just need to figure which is cheaper though, shipping charges or the sales tax from a local store.

You can get prices from www.hellolights.com. Figure on paying those prices now, and if we get a large enough order, it will be cheaper. Thats about all I can tell ya right now...

Chris, How are the actinics doing with the 10K's. Is 220W enough?

You can barely tell that they are on with the 2 halides going as they are so bright. They do make a small improvement in overall color though.

I've only had them on for a week now so it's too early to tell if the corals will change. I'm sure they will somewhat, just have to wait and see how.

Chris, have you noticed any difference in water temp after changing to the 10K. I still want to get by and take a look, I may be in this weekend if you are around.

I wish I could give you an answer on the temp difference. Unfortunately I found out my digital thermometer I have had gone bad and the tank temp reading was 10 degrees off! So, I am not really sure what my temps were before changing the lights. My tank was up to 89 degrees so I had to finally add two fans to my canopy and put a clip-on fan on my sump. Temp is now around 84 in the evening. Not 100% sure the other thermometer is 100% accurate either though! I may need to find a chiller and I can't afford one right now.

Josh, just curious how much 2 400 Watt 10K XMs would run when you do your orders through hellolights. I need to get that chiller in first before I get them but would like to know what type of discount you get. Also on that chiller what pump were you using on it and how plumbed (through return etc.).
