I'm curious what products (chemical, equipment, etc.) you guys would like to see or think are missing in the aquarium/reef hobby.

Thanks,
MIKE

Not enough chemicals/supplements/gadgets/snake oils/cure alls/miracle additives?

That's a good one. :D

Sorry, Mike, I couldn't resist. Personally, what I'd like to see are devices that provide excellent water movement more analogous to reef conditions, better quality coral food, decent cheap sand (the mark up on anything other than S.D. is absurd)

You know it's a law that any product with the word "Aquarium" or "Reef" on it has to be expensive :roll2: !

How about an additive that actually tells you what is in it?

Don't need any more additives as there are way too many out there to begin with. They only confuse people more than they need to be.

I agree with Matt, a less expensive sand and live rock would be great! Also, an all-in-one frozen food would be great as well. A food that satisifies the needs of your fish and different corals at the same time. I have more stuff in my freezer for feeding fish and corals than I have food for myself!

I like to see set standards for equipment ratings, the manufacturers should be required to use the same benchmarks.

I'd like to see some NO flourescent lamps with more PAR than a 400 watt Iwasaki

but then you loose the cool ripple....Its worth the extra 500 bucks!!
