Unfortunately my camera will only take 40 seconds worth of video at a time for some weird reason. :cry2: :cry2:

I tossed in a smaller crab a few days ago and within 5 seconds he knocked him out and pulled the body back into his hole. This time however, the crab was just a little bit bigger so he's not as quick to go down.

If you'll look closely at the video, the mantis gives him 3 whacks and knocks off one of the claws. After that the crab tries to retreat and actually does make an escape. He's hiding under some rock where the mantis was trying to get to him but isn't able to reach.

Dinner got away this time!

I have a better camera that can actually take some good video that I'll try to use next time I get him a live meal.

You've got so many pics and videos of your mantis but I cant view any of them! It says that your server is down! Is it just my computer?

Can you right click and save the video?

I know the pics in the other thread are no longer working because I changed domains. This one shouldn't give you any problems though. If you just click the link it will probably show a white page while it's downloading the video. If you right click and save as you can see the progress of the download.

That was AWESOME!!! Yeah I had to right click it and save it and then open it. Kind of a pain but it was well worth it!

So have you wondered what would happen if you added another mantis in there. I finally got mine into my fuge so I can now keep pepermint shrimp and an emerald crab again.
