I brought my Juvenile Emperor home today and aclimated him for arround an hour, put him in the tank and to my amazement my powder brown tang is kickin the crap out of the angel.... go figure
ill let them duke it out for a day or so and then yank the angel out if
it shows any cuts but was just amazed that a angel would take crap from a tang....
anyone ever had the same problem???

My chocolate tang (mimic lemon peel) an my little bitty poeder blue tang BOTH beat up on the flame angel, coal beauty, and the Koran angel. Those are some nasty tangs....

I always put my powder browns in last as they think they own the tank otherwise. In last with lots of other fish, including other tangs, they don't seem to mix it up with the other fish as much last time I did that. I'm thinking there is no guarentee either way. And I figure they will work it out eventually, but, that sometimes costs me a death. If there is no refuge for the angel cause the tang is really messing with him, pull him before he gets so messed up he doesn't make it.

Mine got over the bad picking, but one got very skinny becasue he was afraid to leave his hole for food. I had to seperate them.

the angel has found him self a place in the corner of the tank where the tang cant get to him but i dont want the angel to stay there for the rest of his life so to speak...
and get so stressed he wont eat although i did see him eating some sponge on the back of the rocks... maybe there is hope...

You have not seen a Powder Blue in action yet. I got a Powder Blue that beat up my biggger Powder Brown. I have to remove the Blue and trade him for a smaller Powder Blue tang. My new Powder Blue tang is only 2 inches, the newest tang in the tank, and is holding his own against a 4.5 inches Powder Brown, an 4 inches Yellow and a 4 inches Purple tangs

I had the same thing happen when I added my purple tang in with my achiles. The achiles chased him all over the place for about 2 hours now they don't even look at each other any more, just swim on by.
