Fungia frag? How did you frag that?

Fungia frag? How did you frag that?

I bought it with a few spots of skeleton showing that algae got onto and seemed to be encroaching. I ended up breaking it into 3 pieces keeping part of the 'mouth' on each one. Jim has one part, I have the other two in my grow out tank. More of an experiment.

I also bought a solid bright purple fungid from Aquatek I 'accidentally' fragged when I dropped it and all 3 pieces have new mouths and are taking food.

If you ever have one die, save the skeleton. It will eventually start producing daughter colonies (anthocauli) from the dead skeleton that will drop off when large enough to form new colonies.
