I might be misunderstanding what your looking for, but you can get stainless steel brading to put over your wires. I'm thinking of the kind people use to fancy up their car engines, these brading kits usually come with annodized aluminum fittings too. You should be able to pick these up at any local car parts place or check www.summitracing.com.

I recently set up a hanger for my plasma TV using 1/8 cable. Home Depot and Lowes both have cable and hardware (Ferrules, thimbles, etc.). None of the Home Depots around had a crimper. Lowes had several. Ther have a handle about 18 inches long and look kind like a bolt cutter. That'll be your most expensive item. If you don't want to buy that you can use wire rope clips (caple clamps). Crimped ferrules give a more professional look and are stronger.

Hope it helps,
Jack
