Went to them today and picked me up a very nice Queen Angel. $59 is an excellent price for a adult queen. I know one of these pics is out of focus, but she just would not hold still. The queen was in my tank for all of 30 minutes when I took these pics.

I stand corrected. Somehow I thought juv queen was a dark blue. Still I figured I would spend a lot more money on one of these.

Picked up some tonga branching live rock from them today. It was $4.75 a pound which isn't bad considering the rock is much lighter in weight than regular fiji. I got 4 decent sized pieces and they only weighed 11.5lbs. total. Lots of corals there and they now have a setup on one wall for the inverts.

Chris,

Our very own Dan the wet/dry man built the invert tank.

Went by Aquatic Warehouse today and saw something quite interesting. They had a shark "pod" come in with one of their orders stuck to something... You can see the baby shark moving around inside the pod. Thinks its a "Banded Shark." When it hatches, they have no idea what to do with it. Tim Marvin?????? A new challenge maybe?? :skeezy:

I'd be interrested in that shark egg.

Ivan must have shown me after you left Kaiser...Barry & Henry saw it. LOL I don't think Ivan is too happy about it possibly hatching in that Propogation (Sp!) tank since it is so deep under the egg crate that they may have to tear it apart to catch it. From what I understood, it does have a bit more to go before it hatches. Really cool seeing it move around inside the pod.

What type shark? Are you prepared to take care of it? They eat ALOT and pollute the water. I saw some eggs at Sea World and they are very cool! Let us know when it hatches and get pictures. Too cool!

Tim - is there such a thing as a "Banded" Shark? That's what Ivan thought it might be. LOL Kaiser...maybe its a Great White or a Hammerhead...ROFLMAO....can you get a pic of the pod as it looks now? Really cool thing. Better watch what else you have in your tank. :skeezy:

Sherri, yes there is such a thing as a ''banded'' shark. had one ten years ago when i had a 200 gal. shark tank. also had a horned shark, white with black spots two horns on dorsol fins. ''banded'' sharks are reef sharks and will get up to three feet. i gave mine to sea world when it was two and a half feet long. :o

Just wanted to share an experience at Aquatic Warehouse.

I spoke with Tamer a month or two ago about drilling my tanks for this project I am doing. I finally am getting near the point where I will need the tanks, so I emailed them about getting the tanks drilled. I am having a couple of large tanks drilled, so I needed them to come to my house (which is close to their store) to do the drilling. Tamer is out of town, but responded to the email anyway and will do it as soon as he gets back.

I think he is on vacation or something. I was very impressed that he took the time to respond while out of town and that he will come to my house to drill my tanks. This saves me a big hassle of trying to move a 180 gallon tank. These guys provide great service.

I dropped of both of my tanks and had them there for about a week, and never got them drilled, I was ****ed at first, but Ivan explained that he was waiting for a new bit and didn't want to drill my tank with an old bit. I understood and he was very nice about the whole situation!!! Even gave me a discount on my first angel fish for my patience! Not dissapointed, dropped them of at aquatrend and will probable pick them up friday:)

Dan - That large purple ridge in their grow out tank is a coral that I traded with them. I have another large piece if you're intersted.

I bought a birdsnest coral there a couple of weeks ago. A good sized frag for about $20.00. I got it home and mounted it on a rock and discovered it has a small commensal crab in it! :-D Cool!!
