We need some meeting ideas and some volunteers to give a mini-talk. We have a LOT of expertise and knowledge in this group... I know that we all learned lots from Mike when he gave his nano- talk to the group.... If someone else could share like that it would be great.

One of my long time favorites for information in Ken Kohler. He used to own and run the LFS in San Antonio (Aquarium Sales and Service) and now just does service around town.

Check with Richard at CB Pets how to get a hold of him as I think he would be a great asset to the group.

Ken is full of knowledge....I second that. :D Could be a great Q&A meeting. We all have probs or questions...especially newbies...and can learn from each other when a discussion is going on.

What if someone showed how to make one of those diy moonlights that Louis posted about in the diy section? I think that'd be kinda cool too. Anybody tried it yet?

I think a workable and inexpensive DIY project might be cool - something along the lines of the moonlights we could do in one meeting. Too bad those blue luxeon LEDs are so expensive we could make some awesome moonlights with one of those.


Jim - I've chatted with JT online he seems like a nice guy - I'd love to learn more about the wholesale business. Would be an eye opener for mahy of our members how the fish you buy in the store actually gets there.

A DIY meeting would be great. Pick two easy things to make, the moonlights and how to make the perfect refugium or something like that.

Get Matt to show us all how to make the perfect skimmer..... or Dan to show us how to make the perfect sump.
