yea i got this clown and it was labeled as a clarkii exept he has an awsome forked tail unlike all the other clarkii's ive seen
not sure if its a clarkii or not
HELP!

dlown fish are hard to get a picture of... always bobbing up and down

If you post this on the clownfish forum on reefcentral, someone will give you a definite id. There are a few real experts that lurk on that forum. Looks like it might be AMPHIPRION OMANENSIS, judging from the picture on this site:

It is a clarkii with an irregular tail. Lots of clown don't look just like the perfect pictures. That would be my guess.

CAUDAL FIN SHAPE Although juveniles can differ and sometimes the sub adult can have an extended upper fork, A.clarkii species and all its variants in the adult form have the same fin shape. Fin shape between species sometimes differs but should not be used as the only indicator of species.
clarkii or not he's mine i love the little booger :)
