2 months ago i got my order of zoathid colonies from rob at coralsandbar.com. and they are growing very nicely! i split 3 of the colonies in half, and gave them to jimn, but that was only a 3 weeks ago, and today i can't help notice the growth! this colonies that are pic'd, are now 2~3x the orignal size of when i first got them!

thanks jenn! lighting is provided by a dual 250wmh with dual 65w pc 50/50 fixture from psl!
here are some more colonies that i have, the orange zoas, had lots of open spaces between them when i first got these a month ago, now the surface of the lr is completely covered! the purple brown zoas were the same a few months ago, for awhile, i thought i was going to loose these zoas when they were in my 46gl, but now, this lr is now encrusted with zoas too!

Sure, here ya go! this is my 75gl. reeftank. its been up and running for just over 4 months now. i'm still fight the red cyano algea here and there in just a few spot. once i get my softies into another tank, i can reduce the nutrient load and put an end to the red scourge

Is z1.jpg electric green on electric green for real? Does it really look like that?

larry, its hard for my camera sometimes to pick up the true color of these zoanthids, because of the lighting. they are more yellowish with either a matching center or the hot pink that does show up. it also depends on the battery strength in the camera.... hehe
but i happen to have a very small colony of zoanthids (z6) that have an electric green coloring to them, and another colony (z7) that is a neon green. i have a total of 8 zoanthid colonies in my tank currently.
am, thank you very much! i've already split some of my colonies, once they all spread, i would be willing to frag a few for you in the future. i just want to make sure that they get a good hold on to the rock, and then i will start placing some rubble rocks around them and, hopefully, they will spread on to them.
