I want to Thank Dan from Dans Aquaplex for the Awsome job he did on the sump and Alan and Yeves @ Texas Tropical for getting me a Smokin deal on the tank. It s going to be awhile before i get water in it as i still need to finish the hood, plumbing, lighting .....AUGH well you know how that goes...enjoy

what are you having problems with ??water level?? if so you need to raise
your water level an inch or so and adjust your slidetube down about a half inch and watch your evap rate. you may just need to add more
water during the day maybe try adding water in the morning as well as at night to keep your water level stable in the skimmer and yes this is the only skimmer and mine has worked excellent.

Looks good Robert. I like all the PVC fittings sitting around, reminds me of traveling to 3 Home Depots and 1 Lowes yesterday looking for 1 specific fitting! Sometimes I feel like my real hobby is plumbing! lol

I think I need to set up an auto top off to keep it steady. Yea mine works great too..just seems to be very fickle when the sump level is off

Nice looking setup.
That poor little Tunze pump sitting in there all by itself though really looks like it needs a home with water.

Like I could afford one anytime soon with all the diapers I'll be buying.

Beautiful setup, have you rebraced the floor yet or are you waiting till water addition time? Give me a yell if you need help once you get to that point.

no no no ya cant take the Tunze from me .... mine mine mine no no no cant have it!!!
i think the braceing under the house will be fine there are two 4x6 beams with 4) 7000 lb spinner lock jacks under the 4 corners of the tank so i dont think ill have to do much rebraceing under the house.
the real kicker is were getting ready to pour the foundation
on the side of the house so i need to get this one set up so i can start working on the 240RR. im also thinking of going with a 300 show tank
ahhh 38 inches tall and 8ft long mmm mmmmm mmmmmmmmm
:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

its actually shorter than my 110 show .. go figure the 110 was 28.5 inches
tall and this one is 27.
im going to run 4) 250w Mh, 2 of them will be 10k ushios and the other 2 will be 20K XMs.
the tank will be set up with two small reefs one on each side of the
center brace. Im going to leave the center open for the fish
as im going to have a couple angels, lionfish, tangs etc.
ill probably just go with all SPS corals and no clams or softies.
Thanks
Robert

PS josh did you get the 10 gal hood

Your stand is not blocking the electrical plug is it? For a tank that size, you might look into buying another Stream pump. Mount two Streams to your center brace and create a whirlpool effect.
What are you using to light your sump?

for lighting on the sump ill use 1 65k 75w pc . its a screw type
from home depot. i have one on my sons and the macro is growing like crazy.on the plug matter i ran 2)20 amp breakers off our main power box
to the back of the tank with a 3 gang box (has 6 outlets). its sitting on the floor behind the tank and will be mounting it up in one of the corners of the stand.
