ok all here are some pics of my true perculas i got in from reefermadness, chris was very helpful and did a great job finding these for me, i think the two in the rose already paired up, they kicked out the other guy out within 5 min. im gonna have to give him a good home now, anyways i hope you enjoy the sorry pics, newbie to digital world!!!

As far as the camera goes, turn off the flash, turn on the macro and set the shutter to 400. You'll get much better Pics.

hey josh, well i was surprised as well, as soon as i put them in one of the smaller ones(pic3) was scoping out the rose instantly, then bam he went right in, then the other 2(pair) dashed right in with him, after about 10 minutes they gave him his suitcase and booted him outta there, he now hosts the xenia i have, but it's very cool to watch them, the pair seems to love each other, they never fight, just twitch alot at each other, every1 says that they don't host any bubbletip! but mine seem to love it, well i hope they do good and like i said i recommend any1 if there looking for true perculas talk to chris at reefermadness, awsome customer service A+!

Awwww...nice percs Rudy! And I can't believe they hosted the BTA that fast. Mine don't even go near it. Now they're hosting in some green striped mushrooms of all things! One thing I noticed about your Rose...that is different than mine, (since we got them in the same shipment) yours looks TRUE bubble tipped. Mine has long tenacles and is BIG. Don't see much of anything that is bubble tipped. Could the difference be that mine is under VHO - not MH? He seems to be happy...he hasn't moved at all since we got them. And a very healthy appetite. Loves silversides and Formula I pellets. Was just wondering....glad you got your percs!!

hey sherri thanks alot, well my anemone looks so good in the night , gets about twice it's size, in the evening around 6pm it starts to get small again, but he eats really good(1table shrimp every other day), the clowns dont actually bite on his tenticals like my maroon pair did, it's funny now the other clown(pic3) comes and sleeps at night in the anemone when the other 2 are asleep, then in the morning he gets the boot again LOL, also noticed at night when there all in the rose my 2 cleaner shrimp clean them constantly, weird!! oh well im very happy that i finally have them here!! thanks all for your compliments! :)

Don't be in hurry to get rid of your third clown. Give them a little time, they will accept him and they will be happpy together in the anemone. I have 5 Ocellaris in my H. magnifica. The three first one beat up on the two small ones for few weeks, then accept them. Percula can be meaner than Ocellaris, but I know in the wild, they live in group, not just two. Because of this reason, I think your Percula will end up as a trio if you give them a chance.

I am with minh on this one. My 4 truly false percs all squez into the anemone at night. During the day only the biggest one stays in the anemone and the other 3 hang close to it. It was also part of the reason I got the other 2, I read they hang in groups of 3 to 4 in the wild.

How big is your tank?
Is she the only clown in your tank?
Does she have a host?
Below are a few ideas I would try:
If your tank is big enough, add two may be better than one. Don't add tiny ones so they can take abuse a little better. If the female have an anemone, she will not chase the other all over the tank, rather, she just chases them away from the anemone.
You may want to add the new clowns in protective area. Build a temporary area in your tank with egg crate to get the female use to the small clown(s) but not able to get to him (them).
If you add two and it does not work, then just remove the female if you are not too attached to her.

I would remove her from the tank for about 2 weeks, let the new guys settle into the anemone and then reintroduce the big one again. Or when You go to Your 75 get the RBTA and 2 oce into the 75 wait for about 2 weeks and then get the big one from the 40 in there.
