I have a BTA, and its hosted by a tomato clown. When I got the BTA, its tips were green and the body was kinda brown. Now its all brown. I try to feed it, but every time I do the clown takes the food out of the anenome. Now it started biting my fingers. I tried feeding it brine, silversides, and even table shrimp. I dont have a clue what to do. is the clown supposed to be feeding it? Thanks for the help!

well alex, according to my resourses, it's lack of light and feedings, i feed my rose table shrimp dipped with garlic extract, and he devowers it, try feeding the clown a couple pieces of shrimp first, then feed the anemone last, it may also not like the pc light's you have, i have mine under 175watt mh , and he loves it!!!! hope it does better for you!!!

The change in color will more than likely due to the lighting and depending on how far away the anemone is from the lights, then it might not be getting enough. Also, if it was a wild specimen, then you will defenitely lose some color when transferred to captivity.
As far as feeding the BTA, you need to remember that the pieces of food should be very small because anything bigger than a cm will not be completely digested and just excreted at night. If you have corals in your tank, as well as fish, you shouldn't have to worry about supplementing your anemone with feedings too often. It will catch things out of the water column, as well as anything that falls from the mouth of the tomato. My tomato didn't like me sticking my hand in the tank either.... I would be more concerned if the anemone starts to shrink in size.

the green started to return this morning. I dont have many corals, just some mushrooms, a few xenias, and some polyps. I cant wait until he can go into the new 135........
