I just snapped this pic and thought I should share it. Looks like my True Percs finally moved into the sebae anemone.

Thats a great sight to see. Did they host in anything before the sebae?
Till this day I have not seen my ocellaris hose in anything. They just run the tank in the day and @ night they stay next to a powerhead.
Maybe one day they will feel the need to host.

I was always told (and always read) that the black was not a definite ID, that the black had more to do with region than species. The number of spines in the fins are suppose to be the correct way to tell the difference. So, if you have a dead fish, you can tell in a heart beat. Just what I have read and been told.
Not that it matters. The fish is happy and gorgeous, that is all that matters, right?

the best way to tell but not the easiest is by the spines. generally as they start to mature the blk. bands start to really come out compared to the ocellaris. so as juv. they will look pretty similiar to one another. judging by your pic. they look to be true percs. that are just starting to mature.

Well I broke down and counted the spines and I am sure these are True Percs.

I believe austin aquariums can get you a pair of breeding clowns; they got me mine (ocellaris, i believe they are) for $70, from the guys own breeding stock. theyre gorgeous! their number is 512-206-0646 (pretty bad when you have it memorized...)
