I currently have 2 175w MH ushio's 10k and 2 96 w blue actinic PC's. I am thinking of replacing my pc's and upgrading my actinic supplementation to either 2 - 46.5" 110 watt vho's or 2 T5 46.5" 54 watt's with the sunlight supply tek reflectors. I am keeping SPS and LPS corals. Any suggestions on which I should go with? The T5's are new and I don't know much about them yet. Anybody with experience out there?

I have T5 46.5 inches Arctinc bulb used for $15. I probably ran them for two months at 5 hours per day. Sometime I don't run the Actinic bulb at all. I also have T12 Actnic VHO for sale, so you can compare them side to side. http://www.swt.edu/~xp42012/trading.htm

I'm doing it for the same reason. I have my halides lined up parallel with just a flat alum reflector. I want to mount them perpindicular with some type of spiderlight refletor. The pc's I have now are just too big, each of them have the miro 4 reflector from AHsupply. The T5's even with the reflector seem much smaller. But, I planned on using the same workhorse 5 ballast that I'm using with the PC's. Some of the sites I have been looking at sell this ballast with the T5 retrofit.

Joshua,
where are you looking at buying them from?
