california stores

Hey everybody!!!! Im up here in central california for the week with the in-laws but will be heading back through Los Angeles on our way back to Texas. I've already cleared it with the wife and I have permission to detour for a couple hours to hit the fish stores. Any suggestions/stores that I shouldn't pass up in LA?? thanks

You might try Jeff's Exotic Fish in Gardena. They have an outlet store that opens at noon, I think.

I believe reefer madness has moved to Colorado.

Jeff's is worth going to if you happen to hit him right after a shipment. He gets a lot of nice stuff that goes real quick. My favorite is a store in Yorba Linda on rose street (between 91 and 55 next to the taco bell. I'm not sure of the name but this guy always has really nice show quality stuff.

I highly recommend a stop to the Long Beach Aquarium. You'll end up spending 4 hours drooling over Leafy Sea dragons, seals, sharks that you can get in with, and penguins. It's a pretty cool time.

I also recommend a double double at an In and out burger. It's the best there's ever been.

I was checking out the reefer madness site. I have never seen it before and was wondering if you guys have dealt with them, how the experience was. I am also wondering if they HAVE moved to Colorado, are they still in business? I used to live there and can't see a business like this in that area.

If you are in/or close to San Jose/Santa Clara I'd also recomend eating at The Castle Greek rest. on Tazman and Lick Mill and in Campbell, goto The Elephant bar, which is by frys.

In N Out is good but you need to stop at Tommys in Hollywood for a Chiliburger.

I second the In and Out thing although I prefer the double double animal style or pink's in hollywood for a pretty good hot dog. I know theres a store on lincoln ave in venice beach between marina del rey and santa monica that was really good...havent been there in 5 years or so (I think thats where the cold tank of snails scene from deuce bigalow was shot)there's also a really good store in temecula called gills kinda far from l.a. but really good people there.
