Today at 11:00am myself, two children, Misti and JimD met our contact in front of the aquarium gate near parking lot 3 area. After unlocking two gates we parked behind the main aquarium building. After again a wonderful behind the screens tour we started fragging!! For one hour and fifteen solid minutes of fragging we were done! Three boxes filled to maxium weight and several other bags that would not fit we made our way back to the half ton Chevy SUV (now exceeding it's wieght limited). We were exhaust behond any human has ever gone. Lucky there was a MCDonlds close by!!
Story to continue after dinner!

OK lets continue! Colors of the frags----every color in the rainbow! JimD and Misti will have to jump in on this. I have bagged and unbaged so many everything is a swirl!!!!! But rare and BIG o indeed!.

I am very sorry but NONE are for sale!

But everyone will be available for the club memebers for no charge!!!!
AS they get settle in I will take pictures for all to enjoy and then we will frag some more for all to enjoy!

But as these frags are NO CHARGE I will accept donations (no min. and no max.) which will be donated (all the funds) to the club!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BUT the biggest frag was not a frag it was a maybe a TWO foot colony of frogspawn!!!!! JimD and I had to carry the container together!!!!

The three of us Misti, JimD and I would like everyone to have a piece of this beautiful coral! But as this club is educational base you will be taught to frag it yourself!
And again this is free but donations will be accepted with all the money to go to the club!!!!!!

We will try to arrange this for our next meeting in August..
Misti and Jim please cut in!

It was definitely amazing! The blue tips, purple tips, vibrant greens! Wow, those SPS were gorgeous! Some frags were quite large; some were small... but all gorgeous!

The frogspawn was home to countless clown heads bobbing up and down. I am sure that this piece will be greatly missed by the clowns! I cannot wait until the meeting where everyone frags this amazing frogspawn! I believe it will be quite fun!

Jim;

excellent idea to "sell" the frags in return for club donations. I'll definitely take advantage of this, as I'm sure will others, and the club will get some much needed money. Keep us posted on the details!

Update on the frogspawn. I went to Austin Aquariums today---by the way---IMO the most outstanding store in Austin!--- and made arrangements with Charlie to house the frogspawn. The tank we will put this in is located as you walk into the store on the far right side. This tank is a stand alone with excellent condistions and lighting. I hope to bring the coral to him tomorrow!
Again this is for the club members to frag for NO CHARGE you can only if you want do make a donation to the club for the frag you get to keep!.

Sorry I havnt chimed in sooner, the site has been giving me fits and Iv been busy with my new studio, As Misty and Jim have previously stated, te Seaworld frag trip was truley an adventure, we were able to bring home some stunning and in my opinion, rare corals, Mike P. you have an open invitation to visit my tank and make some positive ID's. Im sure Jim wouldnt object either. All I can say is WOW! My tank is bulging at the seams. blues, greens, purples, pinks, you name it! All in excellent condition. The frogspawn is an outstanding speciman that youll surely enjoy. As Jim said, these are going to be available at the August MAAST meeting for donations only, so, if your strapped for cash, that doesnt mean that you wont walk away with a nice chunk of this amazing coral. All donations collected will go directly to the MAAST account. This will be an exciting and possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity, you definately dont want to
miss this one!!! Seeya there!
