I recently got back from a trip and found my T. derasa open but cocked kind of sideways. When I tried to right it I saw the hinge was broken. The clam was on the sand bottom so I am not sure how the damage happened but Ive got the clam resting on a large flat shell to try and let it heal. Ive tried a few other things to get it to sit straight but Ive had to keep fixing it. Other than the hinge the clam appears healthy and open fully when the hinge is set right. Anyone have other advice or know how long the hinge takes to regrow?
