After reading the Arwana Pets post, I would like to say, Come to CB pets, all our stuff lives, and we tell people when we got our fish in, so they can decide to take it home, or let us hang on to it and make sure everything is cool. We always have great Live Rock, and everyone says how great the prices on it are. The Owners are great guys, know alot about what they sell, and we are currently in the process of expanding our Salt Water selection so we can have more inverts and corals, and more fish period. Plus our tanks are alot cheaper from what people tell me, and from what I can see. We can help get you Oceanic tanks for a GREAT PRICE.

To get there is EASY!!
The Address is:
20475 Hwy 46 West, Suite 220
Spring Branch, Texas 78070

To get there, take 281 North, past Bulverde and get off at the Hwy 46, Boerne, Canyon Lake Exit, take a Left under 281 towards Boerne, and we are about 100 yards up on the left in the NEW HUGE HEB Shopping center in the back corner. Takes around 10-15 mins from 1604, just a warning, watch out for that area during 5 O'clock traffic.

We will tell you what will go together and what will not, its your choice if you want to buy the item. I always say "Never say never" and "Anything can happen" when it comes to any pet. Some people have had it happen or not happen with almost everything. Richard and Mark are the owners, I am pretty much the main employee, my name is Phil, and I am learning all I can about Reef and Saltwater in general, I still do not have a sw tank (please dont hate me) because I currently live with my bother and trying to move a 55gal+ SW would not be fun, plus most apartments will say NO, but I am going to try and mess witha 10gal SW soon to get my feet wet, before I get a bigger tank. I have learned alot from Richard and Mark, and from alot of the customers also about the fish, but if I do not know the answer, I find it out. Ken from Aquarium Sales is always in and he is a great guy also, very knowledgeable. Richard and Mark are VERY BUSY lately with the store, but always have time for people with questions. When the new SW Setup has been finished, I am sure Richard will start coming around some more. Also a side note, we sell Salt Water at a specific gravity (pretty sure its .1024, but I will double check tomorrow) for $.75 a gallon, which can help with water changes, and everyone says are salt is also very cheap.

I stopped by CB Pets for the first time on Friday and boy was I impressed. Mark and I spoke for almost a half hour just talking about different products and live stock. The store is very nice and I would highly recommend CB Pets to anyone looking for a nice place to shop and chat. Currently they do not have a large variety of saltwater fish but have plans in the near future to get a whole new invert section up.

Just thought I'd spread the word. Great store A+ in my book!

Yikes! Just saw this thread. Man, talk about shameless advertising.

Thanks for the nice comments but your criticism is also welcome. I know I'm still not satisfied with the store.

Oh yeah, Please replace the "All our stuff lives" with "All our stuff appears healthy, free of parasites, and is feeding well at the time of sale". I can't promise it'll live forever.

Richard

Richard, if this is just an employee off the street, you need to keep him. If it is a relative, good tactics. At any rate we all know things die no matter how good a store, but when it is a rare event and the store owners are honest that is all we can ask for. I believe everyone here respects you for that.

I wish I could think up such sales tactics...really Mark and I are both just reclusive computer guys that got laid off and thought we'd try something different.

Phil has done pretty good considering 6 months ago he was just a customer asking me how to set up a 10 gallon guppy tank. I'd say more nice things but then he'll want a raise :D

I have been to this shop a couple of times and seen them help other customers. They have always been friendly and helpful to me and the customer I saw them help was getting good advice. For those of us that live in the 1604 & 281 area, they are as close or closer than anyone else. For the rest of the people in San Antonio they are worth the drive.
