tap water Purifier?

I use a tap water purifier and I was wondering if it is the same quality water as RO\DI water. I think it is the same exept that an RO would help preserve the life of the DI unit. Can any one help me with this? Does RO water take any thing else out the A deionizer wouldn't?

RO will pull out micro sediment depending on the filter size plus microrganisms etc. If you have a good city water feed a lot of the microorganisms would be a moot point. Buy or borrow a TDS (total dissolved solids) meter and test your water before and after the purifier to see what it registers. This will giveyou a ballpark idea of what your water quality is.
