First, I need to say I am soooo sorry me and the wife missed the SeaWorld trip - we were trying so hard. But anyway -

We are starting to grow some massive green gunk (not necassarily algae) in our 75 gallon. You can see a green tint to the water and the fluval and wet dry filter are filling full of this green sludge.

Does anyone have any ideas? we are not overloaded and amonia and chemicals are fine.

Thanks SO much in advance!

I'll try as soon as I can - unfortunately I don't have a digital camera so it will tak some time. The strange thing about this stuff is - it's not sticking to the glass. If you look at the tank straight on you don't really notice it - but if you look at it from the side you see a definite green tint to the water. I have done some pretty good water changes the last two week - which seem to help - but it just tends to come back. I was going to try some carbon this weekend for the lack of anything better. Thanks!

It sound like you have a free swimming algae. You might look into a product call Pro-Clear by Kent Marine. Check to see if it is safe for inverts. If you decide to use it make sure you run a fine mechanical filter medium like floss somewhere in your filter.
