Well, I found it on the glass, then it breifly crawled onto a rock. Its primarily orange with white dots and brighter orange toward the tail. It seems to be cleaning the glass such as a turbo snail would. Any idea as to what it is and if its harmfull to anything? Its really not bright colors, sorta dreary oranges.

Heres a pic but it's really not a good one, I couldnt get the auto focus to focus on it right, I guess it was too close or something. Photo's kinda large for 56K....

Take a look at my pic gallery & see if this is what yours looks like...Mine came on some rock also...then I got another one from the maze brain coral I got from Brett. He says there're good...And I still have mine. I see them from time to time...

Yep I would go with stomatella also. The small shell and coloration are pretty distinct - they should have antennae/feelers at the head too. These will reproduce in your tank and are pretty good scavengers / herbivores IME. I'd let him be.

I did find a gorgonian eating nudibranch on one of mine that had been in tank for about 6 months - had some tissue loss that was baffling me - I looked really close with red flash light at night and caught him. It was about 2mm in size and looked like a piece of detritus that moved.

yeah, It looks as if the lighter orange is possibly a shell. There are antennae/feelers on the head, and a very thin black and white line right above the head.

LOL I have a tiny baby stomatella snail. Saw a small dot on the glass last night, got up to check it out...And he is back on the glass today. Unless I have more than just one baby... :-o

Brett mentioned they do well...guess they do.
