Ok, I was at Aquadome earlier this week and they had a nice juvenile Harlequin tusk. He was eating and had been in store for about a week for 40 bucks. I don't normally impulse buy but I have wanted one of these forever and a day. So he's hanging out in quarantine now - thing is I need to evict all my little fish and shrimp before he goes in.

Jim N - if you read this I know you have a large one - what do you think about these fish with things liek blennies or gobies? I know crustaceans would end up on the menu eventually so my CBS and Fire Shrimp will have to go.

On the plus side evicting the shrimp will make it easier to add Ed's betta/comet later to the main tank.

So I may have the following fish for trade soon:

Mated Pair of bangaii's
Mated pair of Yellow Watchmen
BiColor Blenny

That would leave me with 5 Fish, the Harlequin, Niger Trigger, Regal Tang and Kole Tang , Percula Clown.

I love my Tusk! He is getting big! He has never picked on any fish. He is a very BIG eater. I do feed him silversides once aweek along with the flakes, brind schrimp, and hamburger :-D that he eats everyday. He is always the first one up in the am (greets me) as he hunts of copepods when the actinics come on. And the color he adds to my tank is top notch. $40.00 I think is good. Where is he from?

Update - sadly I went down to check on him this morning and somehow he managed to jump into the overflow and wedge himself into a 1" standpipe and die. Well that just sucks doesn't it.

Ah well - Guess I need to cover the overflow and screen off the standpipe. I am still going to move some of the little fish out and try again on one of these guys. I called Premium Aquatics to check on my pendants and they can get australian juveniles for about 90 bucks which is pretty good. I'll give it a couple months and try again.

Josh - my gobies also look like they finally paired up with one of my pistol shrimp too so I'll try and get them as a package if you are interested. I checked on them last night and they were by a cave with a sand drift in front of it - they were sitting out front and the pistol was behind them digging away. I've had them lay eggs twice but haven't been able to get things set up to make an attempt at raising them , they are fun to watch though.

Are you still wanting to get rid of the fire shrimp? If so, how much would you take for him

Chad, if I can catch him anytime soon then yes he's still for sale. I'm building a trap for him I'll try it out this weekend.

yeah, i feel your grief i just had my blue damsel die on me today when i got home  but luckily the new six line is doing well. if the bicolor is still up for sale im more than interested, i think he would make a much better tank mate than the blue damsel did. :D
