Water Test Kits...

Any suggestions for water test kits???

I bought a $48 fasTesT Master Kit from Alamo... Tests ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH, but only 20 tests of each...

Is there a less expensive, more convenient test kit out there??? Is this a good one??? Any suggestions that everyone might be using out there???

i have used most of the test kits (other than salifert) and i get mostly the same results with them all....give or take 1%

am using hagen kits now with great success

all with DSB and moderate skimming
2 small tanks run with CPR bak-pak 2r
large tank uses a red sea berlin turbo


20 gal. tank also has a 10 gal. refugium hard plumbed in with a DSB and houses 2 types of macroalgae as well as a bit of live rock ...

small tanks have 0 nitrates 0 ammonia Ph is 8.1 calcium is kept at or above 450 and dose with kalk as well ..
each small tank is lit with a 175 watt 10,000k ushio halide supplimented with a 7500k actinic o3 tube

the large tank has less than 10 nitrate 0 ammonia
and is lit with standard florescent tubes

I like the fasTesT Master Kit, but it seems at low levels, the colors are hard to match up to the measuring guides...

I figured for $43 it would be a little easier to read...
