Babies Bangaii Released

The male bangaii finally released the babies last night. Some of them are still in the overflow box. Some float down the plumbing into the sump.

If someone can provide a good, predatory free home, and know how to raise the Bangaii (feeding, protections.) Please let me know, they're yours for free. Hopefully someone have a big established refugium (with ton of pods, ect,) with hopefully a long spine urchin. The only persons I know of is Chris, or Tim.

Sound like a better environment then in that my video. If you have a refugium, and are willing to feed extra, then it's yours. Just do a little research on RC to find out what the babies need to feed on. Petsmart and Petco should have frozen daphnia, as well as flake food for babies.

you could always buy one of those cheap brine shrimp hatcheries and fortify the baby brine when they hatch with selcon.

I have 5 in the overflow, and 9 in the sump. I'm keeping the one in the overflow as there's no possible way for me to catch them w/out messing up my plumbing.

The 9 in the sump have all been claimed.

I read they have to be fed 3-5 times a day. I don't think I can be home that much. Ray, how do you fortify the bs when they hatch? I already have the hatchery and eggs.

Troy Valentine use to hatch them for the fish stores in SA. Ask him for some pointer. If you buy brine from ther store, and they look red, they probably don't have much nutritional value ( not fortified.)

You don't need to fortify right after hatching, they still have their nutritional yolk sac attached as they don't develop mouth or digestive tract until aprox. day 2.

What I usually do is only hatch enough to last me 2-3 days. That way I only enrich w/ selcon when I am lazy :P and don't get around to starting another batch.
