Sorry to rain in on your parade, but someone should get some get some LR, cure it first. Then wait around for at least two months b4 he should put any fishes or invert in there. Putting fish in a week old tank w/out live rock might kill it. The fish will poison itself to death.
What's the salinity measurement from your tank? What are you using for filtration? If you want your tank to cycle faster, talk to me, and I'll make you a deal on established tank water and LR that has been cured for six months (no algae or slime problem.) Even then, you should wait around a week b4 putting livestock in there.

If you want to hold the clowns & invert for Red Dragon for two months that's another story.

Someone is reminding me of myself when I first started my freshwater tank. I let the tap water cycle for several days. Then I drove around from Austin to SA, put about 60 fishes in a 62 gallons tank. I had a lot of fishes death afterward. Most of them comes with warranty. But I didn't feel comfortable bring a bucket of dead fish to the store to get my money back.

I hope you don't have to this lesson the hard way. Especially when livestock are involved.

Hey guys i mit be able to get some more livestock but I mit have to have someone babysit them because in my 10 g I wont hold more than 3 fish. I was thinking maybe Vinh if you would'nt mind babysiting my fish If he can I can probably get $50 or $60 so if you read this vinh get back at me.

TexasState

I don't mind holding them for you. But fish are going to be very hard, if possible at all, to catch once they are put into my big reef system tank.

It's easier for me to hold corals then to hold fish. If I'm holding corals for somebody. I only wanted it straight from the Liveaquaria's bag into my tank. I don't want any re-bagging, re-holding in btwn.

RedDragon
Wed, 5th Feb 2003, 11:53 PM
I don't like this but what do you all say If I put more that 3 fish in a
10g maybe 5 but not aggressive? :fish1:

Jaime , what kind of light are you going to try keeping the carpet anemone under? Can i suggest you DO NOT order an anemone mail order and not start with a carpet of any kind - one of the hardest to keep. Do not go by their care ratings , I would not keep a carpet or sebae anemone without strong strong lights and an established system (6 mos or more). I would honestly stay away from these species till your system has been stable for a year honestly - start with a bubble tip and let it get established before trying to get clowns to host in it.

RedDragon
Mon, 10th Mar 2003, 05:41 PM
ok thanks for the info guys I guess I'll go with another anemone, :-D

RedDragon
