2018 Board of Directors Nominations

Its that time of year again for us to choose the next term's Board of Directors for 2018. Please note all BOD positions are for a one year term.​

Listed below are the current BOD members and their director positions that are up for re-election/election (there a total of 6 openings).

Members may nominate any charter member in good standing, themselves included, that they feel worthy for the position. We are looking for members who can regularly attend our monthly meetings, as well as, being able to commit to our mandatory board meetings.

It is requested that the nominee submit a post that he/she accepts as well as submit a small bio explaining why they would like to join the BOD and what special qualities they have that can be beneficial to the club.

We will close this thread on Sunday November 1 so that the election polls can begin shortly there after..

ARTICLE V – BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Section 1. Membership of the Board of Directors:

Paragraph 1: The Board of Directors of the organization shall consist of:

1. President
2. Vice-President
3. No less than four, or more than 10 Directors elected at large from the organization membership.
4. Board Members are elected for ONE year terms. Each Board Members term will begin on January 1st following the election, and each Board Member's term will expire at the end of that year.

I would also like to nominate Shane Ruark. He and Brandon Skidmore have assisted the BOD at every LMAR and regularly attend all the meetings. We can't thank you enough for your participation.

Thank you Cheryl for the nomination and I happily accept it. I very much enjoy this hobby and the maast community. I would like to be on the board of directors so that I can do my part in keeping this great resource alive and thriving. Every meeting we have brings together a great group of people with vast amounts of experience. I believe I'd bring to the MAAST BOD a fairly decent amount of personal experience in caring for these delicate eco systems we create at home. I'm enthusiastic about the hobby and always actively seeking more knowledge to better my and others understanding and success within the hobby.

Shane and Brandon would both make excellent additions to the bod. I second those nominations

Thanks Zack for the nomination....and I accept...I have been with the club since its beginning in January of 2003. I served as Secretary on the first BOD's until 2005. From 2005 to present I have been the Treasurer...the keeper of MAAST monies. :) I have seen MAAST grow...struggle thru tough times...grow strong again and now feel very grateful that both Zack and Justin have brought life back into this great club in such a positive way. I personally want to thank you. It has been a pleasure working with both of you. My job is to protect MAAST monies...and I do, and I have for many years because I care deeply about this great club...so, if elected, I will continue to do so. Thank you.

Wow thanks Sherri. I was a bit bummed at the low energy levels of the meetings in prior years and glad that I could help in someway to help re-vitalize the club.
