Kenya Tree Taking Over

I'm a complete beginner, and I have a Kenya Tree that's taking over my tank. The piece in the foreground of this picture is probably 10 inches from top to bottom, and it's killing the war coral below. Do I just get something and cut this piece off, or what?

Also, what are the rust colored spots all over the trunk of the Kenya Tree? They're taking over my tank too...

Looks like you have three stalks? If you want to keep one, slice and pull the other two off the rock. You can contact your LFS to see if you can trade something for it.

I used to have Kenyan trees. I eventually sold the big one I had to South seas. Great starter corals but as you discovered, they can quickly take over a tank.
